30th August: Race start, 12, 30, 37, 50, 100 km categories
31st August: Race start 7.5 km

Registration and Race Pack Collection

There are 3 processes in the full registration to take part in the event.

Registration and payment to "sign up" for the event - please refer to the registration page on this web site which will re-direct you to Racematix.
Race pack collection during the days immediately prior to the event. Please see below for details on schedule and procedures.
Final registration at the start venue in the hour immediately before race start to register your participation in the event (involves scanning of your timing chip). Please refer to "Transport & Logistics" under "Race Information".

Race Pack Collection

The venue for Race Pack collection will be at our Partner Hotel - Ming Garden Hotel & Residences Hotel Kota Kinabalu, located along Jalan Coastal across from the Imago Shopping Mall and a convenient 15-minute drive from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (if no traffic congestion) see sketch below. Race Pack collection will be at the first-floor conference facilities or ballroom within the hotel. Parking is available in the basement.

For those who have booked optional transport, we will have a bus pickup/dropoff location at Ming Garden Hotel in addition to the location in Downtown KK - please make sure you select the correct location.

Tentative itinerary is outlined in table below - this may be updated closer to the race. Please see below for instructions on procedures during RP collection and in case your flights do not allow you to make it within these times.

To facilitate a smooth registration, please take note that:

All participants must register in person and bring identification for verification (if not able to make it in time, please see options below)
For any under-18 competitors, you must bring the TMBT Indemnity Waiver Form signed by a legal guardian.

The race pack collection on Friday before the race is reserved primarily for out-of-town arrivals. We strongly encourage local runners to pick up their race packs during Thursday to avoid congestion on the Friday when the majority of the foreign and out-of-state competitors will arrive. We urge all competitors to pick up race packs early to avoid congestion in the late hours.

For any out-of-state competitors arriving later and unable to make the registration within the stipulated time, we offer two options:

Get a representative to pick up the Race Pack on your behalf (within the stipulated times) and hand the race pack over to you (please note requirements for documentation listed below)
Against an admin fee get the Race Pack transferred to the start venue and pick it up prior to the start on the Saturday morning (this must be "booked" and paid for in advance - see below)

Collection by Representative. To have a representative pick up your Race Pack on your behalf, the following documentation is strictly required:

Photo copy of Participants NRIC or passport
Letter of Authorisation for Race Pack Collection - MUST be completed and signed by Participant and will have to be signed by Representative when collecting Race Pack
Photo identification of Representative

Race Pack collection at Start. If you are arriving late to Kota Kinabalu and cannot make the Race Pack collection time, you may choose to have it transferred to the start line and pick it up in the morning of the race prior to the start. If you are taking this option, please ensure you are early at the start (try to get on one of the first buses if you are taking the optional transport) and immediately go to pick up your Race Pack. This option has to be booked and paid for prior to the Race. When you register via Racematix, you have to choose between "standard pick up" and "Late pick up" - you would select the latter and then pay the fee of RM 30. Deadline for this is one week before the race.

Race Schedule

An outline schedule for (race weekend) is provided below.

Please note that the 7.5 km race will take place on the Sunday. This gives the opportunity for 12k, 30k and 50k runners to also join the 9k race on the Sunday at a special discounted "add on" rate - see under Registrations on main menu.

Finish Locations:

109k runners finish at Perkasa Hotel in Kundasang.
50k and 30k runners finish at the Village of Pekan Nabalu in between Kundasang and Tuaran along the Tamparuli-Ranau road.
12k runners finish at the village of Tambatuan in the Kota Belud district.
7.5 k and 37 k runners start and finish at Perkasa Hotel in Kundasang (same as 109 km finish).

Cut off times to complete course:

109 km: 33 hours
50 km : 17 hours
37 km : 14 hours
30 km : 12 hours
12 km : 5 hours
7.5 km : 5 hours
